Sussex Gardens to Host Plant Roadshow
Get ready, Sussex! The Plant Fairs Roadshow (PFR) is set to dazzle our county in 2026 with a spectacular showcase of award-winning nurseries nestled in our most beautiful gardens. This year, the historic county of Sussex will be the heart of the PFR's seasonal tour, offering a unique "travelling masterclass" for plant enthusiasts and garden lovers alike.
Kicking off on 19th April at the iconic Arundel Castle, visitors will be treated to the castle's world-renowned Tulip Festival. It's the perfect opportunity to source early spring treasures amidst a sea of colourful blooms. As the season progresses, the roadshow will make its way to Borde Hill Garden on 10th May, just as the rhododendrons and azaleas burst into life.
High summer will see the roadshow at Parham House on 5th July, where you can explore Elizabethan perfection and magnificent walled gardens. The autumn finale comes with a double-header: West Dean Gardens on 13th September and a return to Borde Hill on 20th September, celebrating late-season structure and ornamental grasses.
Local nurseries like Pelham Plants, Plantbase, and Zophian Plants will be at the forefront, offering plants bred to thrive in our unique Sussex conditions. Whether you're seeking shade-lovers for clay soils or drought-tolerant gems for coastal gardens, these experts have you covered.
The roadshow will also expand into London, ensuring that the influence of our local growers reaches an even wider audience. So, mark your calendars and get ready for a year in bloom with the Plant Fairs Roadshow in Sussex.
