Step Back in Time with Bridgerton Tea
Step into the world of Bridgerton this Mother’s Day with a delightful afternoon tea event at Mames Place in Hastings Old Town. Scheduled for Friday, 13th March, and Saturday, 14th March at 6pm, this charming event promises to whisk you away to a bygone era filled with elegance and sophistication.
Owner Robbie Clark has transformed the shop into a vibrant community hub, hosting creative evening classes right in the heart of George Street. Previously held in a local hall, these events have found a new home in the beautifully refitted shop, offering a cosy and inviting atmosphere. The success of December and January’s events has paved the way for 4-5 monthly gatherings, all designed to bring the community together.
For just £20 per person, the Bridgerton tea event includes a delectable selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and bucks fizz, along with cocktails and canapés to enhance the experience. And there’s more to look forward to! Mames Place will also host Easter wreath-making classes and Jack in the Green headdress evenings, ensuring there’s always something exciting on the horizon.
Beyond events, the shop boasts an impressive array of end-of-line, last-season clothing at affordable prices, alongside unique offerings from local sellers like The Glass Sculptress, Stylish by Stacey, and Jewellery by Lorraine. With a spring makeover planned for the shop’s exterior, Mames Place is the perfect spot to indulge in a little retail therapy.
And if you’re considering a move to this vibrant community, we at Burnett’s are here to help you find your perfect home. Whether you’re buying or renting, our local expertise ensures a seamless experience.
