Santa's Sussex Tree Tour Brings Joy
Father Christmas, with a jolly elf in tow, delighted Sussex communities by delivering Christmas trees from Tates of Sussex. The festive gesture brightened schools, churches, and charities, spreading cheer across the county.
Tates of Sussex, a cherished family-run chain of garden centres, has truly embodied the spirit of giving this festive season. With locations in Hassocks, Newhaven, Portslade, and Dial Post near Horsham, they’ve been busy spreading joy by gifting Christmas trees to deserving causes. Over the past few days, Father Christmas himself took the wheel, criss-crossing the county to deliver these festive treasures.
Joined by his trusty elf, Santa visited twenty venues, including Mile Oak Primary, West Hove Infants, and Storrington Primary schools. Each school received a magnificent seven-foot-tall tree, freshly harvested and ready for decoration. The sight of Santa’s surprise delivery had children pressing their faces against classroom windows in awe and excitement.
But the festive cheer didn’t stop at schools. Churches and charities also received these beautiful trees. St John's Church in Burgess Hill, St. Peter's Church in West Blatchington, Portslade Health Centre, and Age Concern in Hassocks were just a few of the lucky recipients. Even the Dalesdown Christian Retreat Centre at Dial Post was included in this heartwarming initiative.
This generous act by Tates of Sussex is a shining example of community spirit, bringing a touch of magic to many. As we all know, the holiday season is a time for giving, and this thoughtful gesture has certainly brought smiles to many faces. If you’re inspired by this festive cheer, remember that at Burnett's, we’re here to help you find your perfect home in this wonderful community. Happy holidays!
