New Radiotherapy Service Launches in Eastbourne

Eastbourne residents can now access specialised head and neck radiotherapy locally, thanks to the new Eastbourne Radiotherapy Treatment Unit. This service, launched by University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, began welcoming patients on 6 July 2026.

The treatment is delivered by a dedicated multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive care that focuses on patient wellbeing and recovery. This approach aligns with the NHS 10-Year Health Plan, bringing expert care closer to home for Eastbourne's community.

While this service targets head and neck cancers, University Hospitals Sussex is also advancing care across the region. The Sussex Cancer Centre in Brighton, set to open by 2029, promises cutting-edge facilities for all Sussex residents.

As Eastbourne continues to grow and develop, having access to such essential health services locally is invaluable. For those considering a move to this vibrant area, Burnett's is ready to help you find your perfect home, ensuring you're well-placed to enjoy all the benefits the community offers.
