Kent's Bearsted FC Unveils Exciting Makeover
Bearsted FC, a beloved grassroots football club in Kent, is kicking off the new season with an exciting makeover! Known as the starting point for England striker Alessia Russo, the club has enhanced its facilities, promising an improved experience for both players and fans.
To boost spectator safety, the club has installed a robust metal surround fence around its main pitch. The clubhouse is in the midst of a stylish renovation, with an extended café to welcome more visitors. Additionally, a brand-new electronic scoreboard now stands ready to keep fans up-to-date with match scores.
Colin Whitfield, a former coach and now a referee, revealed that the club secured funding to complete these upgrades during the off-season, with more enhancements on the horizon. "We'll do some more initiatives and raise a bit of funding to change the floodlights, so that we can upgrade those and go to a cheaper version," he shared, hinting at further improvements.
Bearsted FC competes in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division and calls Honey Lane in Otham its home. The club's season kicks off this Saturday with an exciting preliminary FA Cup round at home against Hackney Wick.
With these fantastic upgrades, now is the perfect time for local residents to support their community team. Whether you're a football enthusiast or just looking for a fun outing, Bearsted FC's revamped facilities promise a delightful experience for everyone.
