Dover Teens Triumph in Writing Challenge

In a remarkable achievement, 17 students from Dover Christ Church Academy have proven that big things can come in small packages! These young authors took on the "Stranger Sagas Creativity Unleashed" challenge, crafting gripping 100-word mini-thrillers that wowed the judges. This nationwide competition invited students aged 11 to 18 to unleash their creativity across genres like crime, fantasy, and sci-fi, and our local stars rose to the occasion.

The academy, part of the Turner Schools trust, proudly announced that the students' entries will be published in the upcoming Stranger Sagas anthology. This accomplishment not only highlights the literary talent brewing in Dover but also underscores the academy's commitment to nurturing young voices. It’s a testament to the hard work of both the students and their dedicated English teachers, who encouraged and guided them through the creative process.

Headteacher Matt Tate expressed immense pride, noting that having 17 students make it to the anthology is a significant confidence boost. It's an inspiring milestone for these budding wordsmiths and their proud families, marking their first step into the publishing world.

As the students eagerly await the publication of their stories later this year, they’ll receive a certificate and a “Stranger Sagas” bookmark to commemorate their achievement. This creative journey has not only inspired these young authors but also shone a spotlight on the vibrant talent within our community.
