Celebrate Reggae Vibes at One Love Festival
Sussex is set to groove this summer as the internationally renowned One Love festival makes its triumphant return to the Bentley Estate near Lewes. This iconic reggae festival, originally launched in 2008 by Hastings-based reggae DJ Dan Wiltshire, commemorates the legendary 1978 One Love Peace Concert by Bob Marley. Over the years, the festival has evolved, moving through various locations such as Herstmonceux Castle, London, Kent, and Somerset, before finding its new home in Sussex.
This year's festival, rebranded as ‘One Love / One Sun,’ promises an intimate woodland gathering from August 21st to 23rd. With two main areas, festival-goers can immerse themselves in the vibrant world of reggae, dub, roots, and sound system culture at the One Love area. Meanwhile, the One Sun area will offer an electronic twist with ambient, left-field, trip-hop, jungle, and drum and bass beats.
In addition to an eclectic line-up of renowned artists and legendary sound systems like Saxon Sound System, the festival will feature a variety of food traders and craft stalls. For those seeking relaxation, a dedicated well-being space will be available, along with a classic vehicle display by the African and Caribbean Classic Car Club.
