Arlington Bluebell Walk: A Spring Delight

The enchanting Arlington Bluebell Walk is back for its 53rd year, promising a vibrant spring spectacle from April 3 to May 10. Nestled on Bates Green Farm, this beloved event not only showcases nature's beauty but also supports 25 local charities through daily refreshment sales. Owner John McCutchan, who has raised over £1.1 million for local causes since 1972, is excited to welcome visitors once again.

This year, the walk offers delightful new features. Classic car enthusiasts can admire displays from BMW, MG, Alfa Romeo, Morris, Porsche, Rolls Royce, and Jaguar clubs on Sundays. Additionally, a two-person mobility scooter is available for hire, ensuring accessibility for all. Visitors can also explore a wildlife and history display in the plant sales area, and enjoy an exhibition of winning photos from the Bluebell Walk's photographic competition in the Animal Barn gallery.

John’s dedication to creating a memorable experience is evident, with seating every 150 metres along the walk and opportunities to meet adorable pygmy goats and Kerry Hill ewe and lambs. Dogs on short leads are welcome, making it a perfect family outing.

Entry is reasonably priced at £9 for adults, £4.50 for children aged 3-16, and £23 for a family ticket. Group bookings are available for parties of 16 or more. For more details and to plan your visit, head to www.bluebellwalk.co.uk.

Whether you're a local or new to the area, the Arlington Bluebell Walk is a must-visit spring event. And if you're considering making this beautiful region your home, we at Burnett's would be delighted to assist with your property needs.
